How to take body measurements
-
Chest
Measure around the fullest part of your chest, under your arms and across your shoulder blades. Make sure the tape measure is level and not too tight.
IMPORTANT: Measure in your bra to avoid size mismatch issues in the future.
-
Waist
Measure around the narrowest part of your natural waist, usually near your belly button. Make sure the tape measure is level and not too tight.
-
Skirt length
Measure from the top of your waistband to the desired length of the skirt.
-
Back neck-to-waist
Measure from the most prominent bone at the base of your neck, straight down to your natural waistline.
-
Front neck-to-waist
Measure from the most prominent bone at the base of your neck, straight down to your natural waistline.
-
Biceps
To measure your biceps, bend your arm at a 90-degree angle and wrap the tape measure around the fullest part of your upper arm. Make sure the tape measure is level and not too tight or too loose.
-
Sleeve length
To measure the length of your sleeve, bend your arm at a 90-degree angle and measure from the beginning of the hand bone to the wrist bone.
